USB (Universal Serial Bus) is a standard interface port on desktop and laptop computers. Nearly all recent PC computers provide USB ports, as well as the new Apple iMac and future Macintosh offerings. Look on the side or back of your laptop or desktop for a little port approx. ½ inch wide.
USB supports the connection of up to 127 devices simultaneously, any of which may be plugged into or unplugged from the USB bus at any time -- even with the power on!
USB device installation requires no tools. Everything remains external to the computer and therefore no computer disassembly is required. The USB port is compact in size -- it is therefore a "small miracle" for laptop and notebook computer users.
